Buying a cart

Where are you located?

We're in Grifton, North Carolina, in eastern NC. Visits are by appointment, so call or text (252) 675-3865 and we'll set a time and send directions.

What are your hours?

Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. We're closed on Sunday. All visits are by appointment.

Can I stop by without an appointment?

No, please call or text first. We're a small shop and want to make sure someone is there to show you the carts.

What kind of golf carts do you sell?

Mostly new, street-ready golf carts, including lifted 4-seaters and 6-seaters. Brands we carry include Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, SD Lanch and Future. See what's in stock now on our inventory page.

How much do your golf carts cost?

Most of our carts run between $2,500 and $10,000. Every cart on our inventory page shows its price, plus tax.

Do you sell used golf carts?

How do I hold a cart?

A $250 deposit holds a cart for you. The deposit is non-refundable.

NC street rules

Can I get a title or license plate for my cart?

Not through us. Our carts come with no title or certificate of origin, and North Carolina does not register golf carts as motor vehicles.

Can I drive a golf cart on the road in North Carolina?

Only where your town or county allows it. State law lets cities (G.S. 160A-300.6) and counties (G.S. 153A-245) pass ordinances allowing golf carts on streets with a speed limit of 35 mph or less. Without a local ordinance, golf carts aren't allowed on public streets. Check with your town before you drive on any public road.

How old do you have to be to drive a golf cart on NC streets?

At least 16 under state law. Towns can set stricter rules. Washington, NC, for example, requires drivers to be 18 with a valid license.

What is a low-speed vehicle (LSV)?

In North Carolina, an LSV is a four-wheeled vehicle with a top speed over 20 mph but under 25 mph. LSVs are titled, registered and insured like other vehicles. We don't sell LSVs.

Which towns near Grifton allow golf carts on public streets?

It depends on the town. Washington adopted a golf cart ordinance in 2018 that requires registration and a police inspection. Winterville issues golf cart permits through its police department, and Havelock has a golf cart registration program. In 2021, New Bern police said golf carts aren't allowed on city streets. Rules change, so always check with your town hall or police department.

Financing

Do you offer financing?

Yes, financing is available. Call or text (252) 675-3865 to ask about financing a cart. See our financing page for more.

How do I find out what my trade-in is worth?

Inspection and service

What do you do to a cart before delivery?

Every cart gets an initial inspection and maintenance check before delivery, so it's in good working order when it reaches you.

Do you repair golf carts?

We don't offer repair service for outside customers. Call or text us with questions about a cart you bought from us.

Warranty

Do your carts come with a warranty?

Not at this time. Our carts are sold without a warranty. Ask us any questions about a cart's condition before you buy.

Batteries and care

How do I take care of the batteries?

Not much upkeep is needed. Our carts use sealed gel batteries, so you never have to add water. Plug the cart in after each day you use it, use the charger that came with it, and follow the owner's manual.

How do I store my golf cart for the winter?

Charge it fully, park it somewhere dry and check the charge every few weeks, topping it up as needed. Follow your owner's manual for long-term storage.
