Washington, often called Little Washington, is the Beaufort County seat on the Pamlico River. Its golf cart ordinance lets registered carts use many neighborhood streets.
Washington's equipment list includes headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, a mirror and a windshield, seat belts and a parking brake. Tell us you plan to register in Washington and we'll show you which carts have that equipment.

Golf cart rules in Washington
Washington approved its golf cart ordinance in December 2018. Carts must be registered and inspected by the police department, drivers must be at least 18 with a valid license and carry liability insurance, and carts are limited to streets posted 35 mph or less. Some main roads, including US 17, are off limits. Check the city's current rules before you register.
